For Youth Ministry resources, please visit the UUA's website, UUA.org. If you are a youth who’s involved with your congregation or district, or who wants to get involved with UUism, visit the Members section. If you are a leader at your congregation, your district, or continentally, visit the Leaders' Library for a searchable database of resources.
Email Listserves:
Our various email listserves for youth, youth advisors, and youth leaders are some of our best-used resources!
There are enough of them that they have their own page! Check out
our email listserves here!
OnLine Resources from Continental YRUU
How to Evaluate Your YCR This resource was created by the Resolution to Increase District and Local Participation in Youth Council (YC
1999) in order to provide a means of making sure your YCR is representing you at the continental level of YRUU.
How to Write YRUU Resolutions and Project Proposals
This resource was created as a way to encourage districts and local youth groups to submit resolutions for consideration
at Youth Council.
Contributed Resources
YRUU has created a new page for resources generated by congregational youth groups, and by district/regional
youth committees! These resources are not generated by or endorsed by YRUU, but we provide this
space for UU youth programs to freely share information with each other. Do you have a cool resource you've
developed in your area? A new policy about such-and-such? A new structure for your YAC or DYSC? Go
to the page for more details about the below listed resources, and send us stuff to put on it!

T-Shirts
The 2004 YRUU T-shirts are in! Shirts are Kelly Green with white paint,
available in adult size XL. They cost $5-$7 (sliding scale, based on what you can afford). This is
YRUU's primary fundraiser, so be generous! To order one, send the Youth Office a check for the total amount
(made out to "YRUU") and include a note saying what you want, in what size, and where to send it to.
Note: There have been some questions about the use of the Christian ICQUS
(ICHTHUS) fish image in the YRUU logo. The image symbolizes (among other things) the New
Testament story of the miracle of the Loaves and Fishes (Matthew
15:32-38), is traditionally interpreted as evidence of Jesus's divinity. Unitarian Universalists have a
tradition of separating prophecy from prophet - in other words, UUs may see the story as evidence of the 'miracle'
of a community coming together to break down class barriers by sharing food and resources among themselves (a
common liberal Christian interpretation of this story) than we see it as evidence of Jesus's messiahhood. Since
UUism has its roots in liberal Christianity, we see our use of the symbol as reclaiming rather than appropriating...
we also hope that by connecting with wisdom from our Christian heritage, we can undo some of the anti-Christian
sentiment that is sometimes felt in our own YRUU community. We invite your comments
and feedback on this.
